Style Icon: Mattie Ross, "True Grit"


The story is heart-wrenching and exciting. At the center is 14-year-old Mattie Ross, who is just trying to find someone to help her avenge her father's murder. Actress Hailee Steinfeld is perfection. She kills the roll.

The whole film is a grand homage to the gritty yet beautiful (and somewhat forgotten) genre of Westerns.
