The Walrus and the Carpenter

For "Girlie Show" dinner tonight, Danielle, Leslie, and I are going to The Walrus and the Carpenter, a newish joint in Ballard, opened by the lady who runs the Seattle favorite, Boat Street Cafe.

It's an oyster bar, and I have to just make a quick confession: I've never eaten an oyster out of the shell! I've probably had oysters in clam chowder or something, but I've always been a bit put-off by the seemingly sliminess of the buggers. I'll be brave a try at least one tonight... Courage, Allie!

Me neither! There's an oyster festival on in the west every year... maybe I should add that to my New Year's Resolutions?! Good luck!
