I love fanciful/odd art. I just had to post this piece by an artist named Brandi Milne, who I became aware of through my new favorite blog, Water May Walk. If I remember correctly, I think this work is called "Eating Cake."

Some other fanciful/odd artworks that I admire are done by Michael Sowa. Here is one of his:
And you might remember this image from the beautiful film "Amelie." It was done by Michael Sowa!
I enjoy how much he uses animals in his art. Because I love animals. He examines how animals and humans coexist and blurs that line a bit, adding elements of fantasy; it's quite fascinating. His art is really inspiring my endeavor to write a fairy tale. I have a book of his artwork I bought in Berlin last year, if anyone cares to take a look at it. It's a nice collection. I believe it's called, "Sowa's Ark," although it's in German so I don't know for sure.

Anne and I collect Sowa postcards. "Sowa's Ark" is a beautiful book. We cheered when his work showed up in Amelie, but I hope people realize that he was a great, hilarious imagination before Amelie ever arrived.
