Oh, the joy of romantic comedies. They're completely silly, predictable, and unrealistic, but I simply can't stay away from them.

Ira & Abby is silly and unrealistic... But not quite predictable.

It's about a guy and a girl who meet and feel a connection between them and so they decide to get married. A week after they first meet. They figure that marriage is insane anyway, so they might as well try it out without dwelling on it too much. Ira is a Woody Allen type who looks like Mark Ruffalo. Abby is an MPDG, but I love her anyway. Their respective parents are kooky and neurotic, and they figure out together that their quicky marriage has sticky ramifications.

Ira & Abby is a hilarious, heartwarming, thought-provoking, cynical-yet-light-hearted film, and I highly recommend it.
