Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

Last night I had a date with my roomie, and it was lots of fun. We made a really good dinner, and watched "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist," which I loved, but Stacey didn't.

I loved it because Michael Cera (Nick) and Kat Dennings (Norah) are wonderful actors. They were so believable and very engaging as their teenage characters. So much so that I forgot I was watching a movie at points. Dennings is gorgeous. And her dry humor and wry line delivery is spot-on. Obviously, Cera is perfect. He plays the wounded bird quite well (at the beginning of the film, we find out he's been dumped by this nasty Juicy Couture-wearing kind of girl... Which turns out to be a flaw of the film... What did he ever see in her? And why would a girl like that be with a guy like Nick?)

Stacey didn't like it because she thought it was just another "Juno." Uh-uh. I disagree. "Juno" was so forced and trendy.

But "Nick & Norah" is about music and connections and friends and New York and late night adventure and romance. Why wouldn't you like a movie like that?
