Pony Girl

My heart wants warmth, forever and ever.
My heart doesn't like listening to my brain; they're enemies.
My heart holds no logic.

When I was little, I sang a song called "Pony Girl."
I have no idea what it was about.
Maybe my mother will provide that information.
Needless to say, ponies are pretty.

At my last job, I was allowed to blow bubbles.
Because I worked with children, and children love bubbles.
We would see how far bubbles would float before inevitably popping.
I taught all the kids to chant in unison, "GO, BUBBLE, GO! GO, BUBBLE, GO!"

I like this Cakespy version of Marie Antoinette.
"Let them eat cupcakes."
Makes me want to go to Trophy.

Make a wish on this dandelion picture.
God knows we all need lots of chances to make wishes.
......
I can't tell you what I wished for, otherwise it won't come true.
But I'll tell you this: it's for something I've always wanted.

I don't think I can remember all the words, but the fun part of "Pony Girl" was that the child (you) would sit on the grownup's lap facing each other and holding hands and she could pretend she was riding a horse.
Fun times!

Here is how I remember the Pony Girl or Pony Boy song:

"Oh Pony Girl, oh Pony Girl,
won't you be my Pony Girl?
Marry me, carry me,
we'll be hunny bees!"

Then the grownup holds the little child's arms so they won't fall off their lap and starts to mimic that the child is ridding a horse while singing,
"a-giddy-up, a-giddy-up, a-giddy-up,
WHOA!! [leans the child backward so their head is touching your feet]

Then again.
"a-giddy-up, a-giddy-up, a-giddy-up,
WHOA!! [with the backwards bend]
We'll be hunny bees!

My parents did it to me and I do it to all of my little hunny bee cousins! They LOVE it!
