The Virgin Suicides: Style Icon

"We knew the girls were really women in disguise, that they understood love, and even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them."

The Lisbon sisters-- Lux, Cecelia, Bonnie, Mary, and Therese-- in Sofia Coppola's film "The Virgin Suicides," are rightly refered to as "such beautiful creatures." They are like lovely blond ghosts, neither present or absent, yet always distant and untouchable.

Here are some pieces inspired by the sisters... 1970s tunics, flower power, short-shorts...

I have the hugest crush on all of them, I'm gonna watch this tomorrow, thank you!

The soundtrack is so good, maybe I will make a post about it.

For sure. The combo of Air and all the 70s rock stuff is perfect.
