Weekend Cooking Project: Pizza

Punching out the dough...

Ingredients...

Coming out of the oven...

Kiss me, pizza. Kiss me.

Joe is having a pizza party for his birthday in a couple weeks, so he wanted to practice the art of making a perfect pizza pie. At one point I asked, "Do you know what you're doing?" and he replied, "Yah, I've done this many times!" Turns out he was a big fat liar. This was his first attempt at making homemade pizza. Thankfully, it came out of the oven crisp and cooked and bubbly. The only problem was that it stuck to the pan a little. Does anyone out there know how to solve that?

just spray a little Pam on it, or a little layer of flower. My boyfriend and I made pizza a lot while he was home, and we just went to Lamppost Pizza and bought the dough for a dollar each! That is a really easy way to do it. And Pam works just fine if you spray it on lightly. =]

I use the pam with flour - works great. If you don't have that, you can just spread a little tiny bit of olive oil on the bottom of the pan.

you can also use cornmeal it makes the bottom a little crispier which i like. yum! homemade pizza sounds so good!

If you really want to get serious about this, you know like go into pizza making biznas you might want to invest in a pizza pan. They have pizza stones, but I think the pizza always sticks on those. There is a fancy pan that I used at a friend's house that worked really well. Just tell people you are getting married and create a registry of one thing.

Problem solved
