Chics and Geeks

The roomie and I have finally been exposed to the short-lived t.v. show, "Freaks and Geeks" and we of course are loving it (esp. Jason Segel).

Side note: I think in high school I was more geek than freak, although I secretly wanted to be a freak-- kind of like the main character, Lindsey.

So of course I started thinking about geek style. Recently there's been a sub-genre of fashion created entitled "Geek Chic" (think America Ferrera's Ugly Betty).

Here's my take on it, with pieces exclusively found on Fred Flare:

Untitled

Rubik's cube clock; Talking Japanese watches; Gold retainer necklace; Star Wars Jedi tee; Personal library kit; Metallic Clark glasses

Freaks and Geeks was such a great show! I was so sad when they canceled it so quickly! -e

OK..Why would a personal library kit be geeky?
(remember when you played library when you were little? Uh-oh! TMI?)
Also, that STAR WARS t-shirt would make me the absolute coolest person in all of Hollister School.
