Julia Child is undoubtedly all-the-rage right now, thanks to Meryl Streep (I'm dying to see the movie, by the by).
Julia is like the founding mother of the foodie movement.
That's kind of why I'd like to invest in Mastering the Art of French Cooking--because I am certainly not even close to mastering that particular cuisine-- and My Life in France... which, I must admit, first caught my eye because of the adorable photo on the cover of Julia and her hubby Paul.
And I love France. Duh.

Duh. And you've seen Julia in person, probably a few times, even though you didn't realize at the time how cool and awesome she was.
