One of the many reasons why I'm very excited to vacation in NYC with mi madre in August is that the best gelato I've ever encountered in the whole wide world is there! I first had gelato from Grom when I was studying abroad in Florence a few years ago. Gelato had become a part of my daily routine-- Italy was sweltering and I was walking around all the time, so I felt like I deserved it. I must have visited countless gelaterias between Rome and Venice, but Grom in Florence was my official favorite. Really looking forward to a little taste of Italy in New York.

Grom sounds amazing! Hitting up Italy next week and have a feeling it'll be too hot to do anything but eat gelato!
