When we finally made it to the MoMA the line was too long; a 30 minute wait we weren't in the mood for. So we decided to head down to Bryant Park and the NY Public Library. It was lovely! Mom nearly cried when we saw the children's section; they have very old stuffed Winnie the Pooh characters on display.
We took the subway to the Upper East Side, and had lunch at Dean & Deluca-- Awesome place! Mom got a combination box of beets, a caprese salad, and chicken/blue cheese salad. I got California rolls and a plum. We ate it by the Jaclyn Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park, where we saw all of the following: ducks, one turtle, two raccoons, and Kevin Bacon. Yep. He was jogging. Such a better celeb sighting than Michael Lohan.
After lunch we spent a couple of hours in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, seeing the Egyptian wing, the Picasso exhibit, the American Woman exhibit (Amaaazing!), and the Impressionist wing.
Then we desperately needed a snack so we took the bus to the Upper West Side for gelato from Grom. I spotted a familiar sign: Zabars! It's a grocery store that's featured in the film You've Got Mail. So we went in and looked around; such a quality grocery store! I took a picture of the cheese section, possibly the most impressive grocery cheese section I've ever encountered. Stacey, you would die. Now we're back at the Algonquin relaxing a little before dinner in Little Italy.
HAPPY FRIDAY FROM NYC!

OMG DID YOU SEE BLAIR WALDORF?!?! She was totally there, I'm sure. She would be wearing a cute fucking headband with a flower or some shit.
shabam AWESOME. i'm sure you will spot some more famous babies while you are there. and by babies, i mean adults. but seeing a famous baby would be cool i guess.
also, speaking of babies, and kevin bacon, kevin bacon used to be my next door neighbor when I was a baby. We lived in a tiny hick town in nor cal called Quincy, population ridiculously small. he and my dad used to ride horses together.
Allie, did we really do all that in one day? I guess so!
My word that describes New York....OVERWHELMING.
Krichael: don't cuss on my kid's blog
Moorea: Wow. If we had known this we could have said, "hey, Kevin Bacon! We have a mutual friend."
