
On the way back from New York last month, I read Michael Pollan's Food Rules, an appropriately thin little book that holds 64 practical and thought-provoking rules to apply to your eating habits. I highly recommend this to anyone who is feeling conscious about what they're putting in their body for fuel! It's such a quick read, so do it! Here are a few rules to ponder on:
no. 11 Avoid eating foods you see advertised on television.
no. 19 If it came from a plant, eat it; if it was made in a plant, don't.
no. 39 Eat all the junk food you want as long as you cook it yourself.
no. 64 Break the rules once in awhile.

Buying that when I'm in Canada! Love 19 and totally agree with 39, in fact I just put a batch of choc & peanut butter cookies in the oven!
