San Francisco Treat

I'm so excited to be visiting San Francisco in a few weeks! I haven't been since high school. It is a really magical city. I already have a few "musts" on my list of things to do/places to go (Tartine Bakery, the Ferry Building Marketplace), but I was hoping that you, Dear Reader, could help me with a few suggestions! Are you familiar with SF? Let me know! Shopping, restaurants, bars... THANK YOU!

I just randomly came across your blog and I live about 45 minutes south of SF. I'm so excited for you to return!!! It'll probably be raining but still.. lol

My suggestion: Go to the Ferry Building Farmer's Market! Best farmer's market ever.

Other than that, you can't go wrong with any of the restaurants or sites.

Good luck and have fun!

Go to my brothers bar (Cantina on Sutter) and my sister in laws restuarant (Mama's on Washington Square)- the Monte Cristos are sooo good and my brother makes delicious culinary cocktails!

Hello.

I can't even remember how I found your blog now, but it sure is darling.

I just returned from a visit to San Francisco visiting my favorite college pals. I love that city, and visit it at least every year (sometimes, if I am lucky, even more often!).

Here are some of my favorite things:

Food:

Pizzeria Delfina (http://www.pizzeriadelfina.com/) -- close to Tartine.
Burma Superstar (http://www.burmasuperstar.com/menu.html) (favorites: superstar noodles and rainbow salad. I suggest getting several dishes to share)
Indian Oven (http://www.indianovensf.com/index.htm)
Dotties has delicious breakfast ( I think the full name is Dotties True Blue Cafe)

Bars:

Usually, we end up staying in and being cozy with bottles of wine, but I do like Latin American Club

Drives:

I love taking drives and then exploring by foot! If you will have access to a car, I would recommend driving out to Lands End, Twin Peaks or the Lighthouse in the Marin Headlands (Pt. Bonita)

Shopping:

Shops in Cole Valley or Hayes Valley are fun.
