I think you should go to one of those islands around where you girls live......in the Puget Sound. Oh, which one is where "The Ring" was filmed? Creeeeeepy!
Okay after reading this, I'm starting to think we should expand to TWO roadtrips this year! Let's simplify the decision-making process :)
If you've never been to Orcas I would suggest that. It feels worlds away from Seattle (other than the weather sometimes) and is so beautiful in the summertime. Farms, beaches, hikes, good food, funny island people... wonderful.
