The NEW MOON in Gemini brings us the gift of refining our perceptions. With Neptune the planet of illusions being a key player, we are reminded to see people and situations as they are and cut through the mirage of illusions. There is definite delusion in the air, so keen in to what is actually true. Remember actions speak louder than words, so go by actions and not by talk.

Don't believe the climate is changing? Go ask the birds what they think. Sixty percent of all the feathered species in North America have moved north in the past 46 years. Scientists are pretty sure their migration is a response to the warming trend that's afoot. I like the idea of tuning in to how animals behave in order to get accurate information about the state of the world. Would you consider doing more of that, Pisces? According to my astrological analysis, the coming months will be a time when you can learn a lot from non-human intelligences.

What's Your Sign?

I have an embarrassing confession to make: Sometimes I take astrology seriously. My mom tells me it's evil. My friends tell me it's fake. I seriously don't think it's evil. But it is probably fake. Mostly, I think they are a great source of secular self-affirmation. This one that I read from the latest issue of The Stranger hit my personal nail on the head because it very much applies to my life. So whatever brilliant fake-astrologer wrote this, I thank thee.

In her journals, Sylvia Plath said there are two different ways to be free of desires. The first is when you are "dead and rotten inside and there is nothing in the world." The second is when you are "so full and rich and have so many inner worlds that the outer world is not necessary for joy, because joy emanates from the inner core of your being." In the past, Pisces, you have had a few encounters with the dead and rotten state. But I believe you are now in a phase when the full and rich condition will prevail. During this grace period, you will not really need anything beyond what you already have. My advice? Start the celebration!
