I promise (mom!) that this will be the last Fashion Week post for awhile! I just want to share a few of my favorites of this year's spring ready-to-wear:

BOTTEGA VENETA - Checkers!

CELINE - Oh, those buttons. and the white slippers.

CHLOE - Classic Chloé. I love this color.

DOLCE AND GABBANA - Black black black widow, baby.

DRIES VAN NOTEN - Such an amazing collection.

ISABEL MARANT - Mediterranean tomboy.

NO. 21 - Lacy! And those shoes are ridiculous in the best sense.

SONIA RYKIEL - Such an awesome sweater. I love the cream-color monochrome look.

VALENTINO - Sheer beauty as usual via Valentino

STELLA MCCARTNEY - Clean and springy and comfy!

Valentino Fall Couture 2014

This collection makes me think of The Pines of Rome. Italian wood nymphs galore.

Resort 2015: Valentino

"With Frida Kahlo as one of their jumping-off points for Resort, parrots and monkeys—both of which appeared in the artist's famous self-portraits—played starring roles in their new collection."

"A psychedelic print from a 1973 Valentino show—the program notes called it 'visually disruptive'—inspired the graphic, multicolored designs that made up the boldest looks in this huge eighty-three-outfit lineup."

Valentino Spring 2014 Couture

Loving this color palette: earthy shades, butter yellow, and grays. Some looks are typical brilliant-details Valentino, others are more "monastic." Valentino did an opera theme with the collection, and so the animal graphics were a shout-out to Camille Saint-Saen's "Carnival of the Animals." He's one of my favorite composers, and the animal graphics were so unexpected, which I like. Reminds me a bit of Henri Rousseau's work. And do I spy a Bjork-esque swan dress up in the mix? Allie-approved.

Spring Ready to Wear 2014: Valentino

This might be my last spring ready-to-wear 2014 post! I just wasn't as into it this time around (I'm sure you're all thankful for that), except for checking in on my favorite designers. Valentino is definitely one of them, although I've seen better collections from them. Maybe it's the color palette, maybe it was too geometric, I don't know. It just didn't speak to my romantic side the way they usually do. But I do enjoy it nonetheless.
