I really like my friend Maddie's early new year's resolutions list. So inspiring. Although I nearly always go to bed before midnight because I'm an old lady, I guess. But, wow, some of the things that come out of my mouth, I'm like, "Allie, shut uuuup, that sentence was just so unnecessary to release out into the universe. You dummy." Also, currently, I'm both a horrible reader and writer. Remember that time I spent bajillions of dollars on a B.A. in English? Yeah. And then there's prayer. So much to pray for. And sometimes I'm too distracted. Or too lazy. Or too proud to. Lame. So, on that subject, could I ask you, reader, to think of my friend Brittany who is struggling with Lyme Disease right now... She's my old college room-mate and is so dear and full of passion, and it really sucks that she is so debilitated by this stupid disease. Click on her name and read about her crazy health journey. Prayer and Positive Thoughts, Please!

My hometown of Santa Barbara is suffering from a wildfire once again. This time it is very near my home, and threatening my family, friends, and community. My mom describes the scene as very ominous.

Please keep my family and all affected by the fires in your prayers!

Pray for Santa Barbara

My hometown is experiencing terrible wildfires, yet again. I heard this morning on the Today Show that eighty homes have been destroyed. And my dad told me that one of the dorms at Westmont College has burnt down. Unfortunately this sort of disaster is something we Santa Barbarans are all too familiar with. I remember having to evacuate my home when I was younger because of the threat of fire.


Above is one of the homes in the affected area. Luckily, my house is a good distance from where the fire is, so my family and home are safe. But please pray for those who have lost their homes, pray for the firefighters.
