Famous pin-up girl Bettie Page died yesterday at age 85. I honestly didn't even know she was still alive. But she was so awesome. Such a feisty lady. My dad used to collect vintage matchbooks and sometimes she would be featured on them in sassy little pin-up outfits.
A little known fact about her: After her pin-up stints, Bettie became a born-again Christian, went to Bible School, and wanted to become a missionary (but couldn't because she was a divorcee). So she worked for Billy Graham ministries.
Jesus loves sexy ladies.
P.S. It was really hard to find photos of Bettie that didn't involve bare breasts and/or bondage... heeheehee
