Book Recommendation

Just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and must rave about it for a few sentences.

Don't let the lengthy title defer you from reading it. Set in post-WWII England, 1946, the book is a collection of letters between main character Juliet Ashton, a writer looking for a new book subject, and members of a book club on the island of Guernsey, which was occupied by the Germans during the war.

If you love literature, witty repartee, picturesque country living, and strong female characters, then it might be best to add this to your reading list!

PS: Laura, my dear book club partner, please don't get mad at me for finishing it so quickly! It was just so hard to put down!

YES! This is one of my favorite books I've ever read. I bought it for a bunch of my family members for their birthdays. So wonderful!
