I guess it's not "many." Mostly sleeping and gazing off into space. But I still love her.

Supervised Porch Time

Since summer began, Dotty and I have started a routine. I get home from work, give her some pets, then we both go outside onto the porch. She doesn't leave the porch which is good. She just scratches on the wood post and eats the catnip plant I have out there (and sometimes my thyme plant as well). I water the plants, and take in the mail. And then we go back inside together. Pretty nice routine, eh?

Do Not Disturb

I've been trying to break it to Dottykins that just because there is now an empty room in our home does not mean it's hers. Still, she keeps hanging out in Stacey's old room, looking out the window at the crows. Today when Britta moves in, she'll find out the sad truth. Hopefully Dot won't carry too much resentment around. 


Oh, and she's also in the middle of a tumultuous affair with a Swedish cat named Pixel who lives next door. They stare wantonly out at each other often. It's very romantic.

Sometimes it's really fun to be mean to Dotty; like, fold her ears back so that she looks like an emperor penguin. Yeah, she didn't enjoy that. 

I'm gonna miss this little bug while on my nine-day vacation.

This is my life

Diana from our.city.lights mentioned an awesome site on her blog today: Cat vs. Human! Yasmin Surovec creates hilarious comics about life with her kitties. I can relate to many of the situations, such as the above (especially the first one: Dotty is vicious). Oh, I'm LOLing.

She also has a book out which I'm putting on my to-read list.
