The Other

I bought this scintillating (such a great word) book last week, because I have a thing for racy historical nonfiction. The book covers all the ladies, from King Solomon's 300 mistresses, to Marilyn Monroe and Camilla Parker Bowles. I'm excited to learn about these fascinating lives and wrestle with the morality of it all. I think that's a good thing to do every now and then.

The Thing About Jeans Is...

...they are really hard to shop for. Just below swim suits on the list of painful items to shop for, I would say. So I don't feel toooo bad spending a little more on a pair that really work. Especially when they make you look bangin. See: above. Paige stretch denim leggings. Perfect length (I have short legs), fit like a glove, nice fit around the ankle, not too low rise (butt cracks are never cute). Boyfriend-approved. (Except I will never wear them with stripper heels).

Butter (Dish)

Despite my vigorous health efforts, I still can't say no to butter. I believe in butter the way I believe in a Higher Being. I mean, I don't worship butter... or do I?? Which brings me to the ever-important butter dish. A kitchen accessory staple. I don't mind butter sitting out at room temperature, as long as it has a cover. Mine is from Anthropologie, a gift from my friend Danielle. She knows my style well.

Magnolia and Rosewood

When I took a whiff of this baby at my favorite boutique Lucca, I was like, transported to a rom-com flower shop owned by Kate Hudson wearing sexy-yet-casual jeans and a t-shirt and she barely makes ends-meet, but she just loves her work, and she dreams about finding the perfect guy ... all that to say, it smells soooo good. SO I bought it. If you're not a floral-y person, there are lots of other scents that Sydney Hale Co. makes. Once autumn comes along, I will definitely be purchasing the Tobacco and Sandalwood -- so warm and manly :)

Clean Hands

Do you have $18 just burning a big fat hole in your pocket? Neither do I... But here's another question: Do you want be lifted away on a linen sheet of loveliness with the wind blowing through your luxurious hair and flower petals dancing around your bodacious bod every time you wash your hands? I own this

Don't you think J. Crew has the best swimsuits? I just bought this one because my only trusty one-piece has gone missing ... Girl's gotta have a one-piece for those special occasions when she doesn't feel like showing off her rockin' abs. I think the teal color will look good with my hair -- and it was on sale!

Ya Gotta Get a Keurig!

It may be considered sacrilege to those who are coffee snobs, but, I just bought a Keurig and I LOVE IT! You just put a little pod of coffee up top, press the button, and out comes a single cup of coffee in a jiffy! Basically, this machine is my new best friend.
