Confession: I am HORRIBLE at saving and I'm reeeeeally good at spending. I wish my job was spending money. But guess what, it's not. So I've put myself on a budget and so far it's going pretty well. It's a good exercise in restraint. But I'm afraid of becoming burnt out and going on a mad shopping spree... It's all about balance, I suppose.

I'm curious, readers: How do you consciously save money? Do you limit how many times you eat out per week? Take out an allotted amount per month from the bank? Keep a loose change jar?

I Pause and Reflect

I want to fall asleep.
Or maybe I just don't want to be in front of this computer anymore.
Sometimes I wonder how I got from playing tag with kids
to sitting here from 8 to 5.


Am I supposed to be satisfied?
Or are we all fated to never be so,
to always be grasping and wishing for something else?


I don't want to want.
I just want to be content with what I have and who I am.
Although that could lead to a life of stagnancy.
Hmm.

Not quite. Which is a nice change. I usually want to pass out in the afternoons.

In a song. Come to my office, wearing a tuxedo, playing an electric guitar, singing me a song. That would be quite memorable.

None. I'm wearing high heels.

A white flowy one from Target.

Maybe go ice skating with Katie.

Yes. One in Montecito, one on Martha's Vineyard, and in the French Riviera.

I happen to have a yellow bruise above my eyebrow from a car door hitting me in the head the other day.

Usually 20 min-30 min.

They are the loves of my life.
