Sweet Home Forest Home

I realized that I forgot to do a little bit on my week at Forest Home, a summer camp I went to as a high schooler, and at which I got to be a leader to a group of sophomore girls this summer...
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the glorious week:

It's a tradition in my youth group to have a dress-up theme for the banquet night at camp. While other churches take the opportunity to re-wear their fancy Homecoming outfits, we decide to not take ourselves quite as serious. Thus our theme was Obscure Sports. These girls are pretty fabulous. I grew up in the youth group with them, and now they are all leaders. I myself am a professional ribbon dancer. Duhr.
My youth group has spectacular leaders. They are funny as h to izzle. Context: Everyday the kids had serious discussions as a group with the FH deans. Sometimes us leaders get kinda bored. Sometimes we take photos of ourselves trying to make the most disgusting faces possible. Success!

Lizzie is one of the girls I was in charge of. She is gorgeous, hip, and hilarious without hardly trying. We loved complaining about how lame some of the competitions were. Because Christian camps are all about competitions.

Here are two more of my girls: Kara, left, and Hannah, above, Alexis, right. On this night we were supposed to go star-gazing with one of the FH deans, but, you know, silly pictures are quite the priority. I don't even know what's happening here.

Two words: Mud Bowl. It's a pretty big deal at Fo Ho. And then you get there and it's like, hmm, not so much.

I was channel surfing the other night and I found the movie "old school" (I think it was called) with Will Ferrell. You know... the one where he streaks? Well, guess who was ribbon dancing? WILL FERRELL!! He so funny.
