True story: I did not know what the word "meme" meant until like two seconds ago. I thought it was a french word. But I looked it up, and for those of you in the dark, here's what it means:
"In the context of web logs / 'blogs / blogging and other kinds of personal web sites it's some kind of list of questions that you saw somewhere else and you decided to answer the questions. Then someone else sees them and does them and so on and so on." -thedailymeme.com
So here's my meme (ME ME ME ME!!!!)
1. Make a list of things you can see without getting up.

2.What were you like when you were five?
I danced a lot and sang a lot and loved my Barbies more than anything. I had a best friend named Genevieve and we would go on adventures in her apartment complex and dress up as Arabians and damsels in distress and beautiful witches.

I'm liking the idea of hot summer days right now. Days that involve sunscreen, sunglasses, sun hats... SUN SUN SUN
17. What time do you usually get up?
7ish on the weekdays. Much later on the 'ends.
18. What is your most challenging goal right now?
I hate questions that involve goals. Because I'm terrible at having goals. But now that I think about it, I'd say staying motivated at work. Because sometimes I really don't want to do "this" anymore.
19. Say something to the person who tagged you.
Maryann, I wish I could see you from my office window because we could wave at each other and signal each other when we have new blog posts. But I think you're in the basement of the library...
20. What's the book/movie/song that, if someone were to read/watch/listen to it, would most help that person understand you better?
A book to help a person understand me better might be I Capture the Castle. That book defines my early young adult period, figuring out that I wanted to be a writer. A movie would be Wet, Hot, American Summer. That's a weird answer, but it would help someone better understand how I define humor. And a song... probably "California" by Joni Mitchell. Because I'm from California.
21. If you could have a house--totally paid for, fully furnished--anywhere in the world, where would you want it to be?
Paris. A big apartment right on the Palais Royale in the 2nd Arrondismont. With lots of art on the walls, and big windows with rich curtains. And a fluffy gray cat. Named Simon(e).
22. Favorite work of art?
"Judith Slaying Holofernes" by Gentilischi because it's full of action and emotion. The shadows are beautiful and the story is really empowering. Also there's blood spurting out everywhere which is pretty cool.
