...For not taking any pictures of all the fabulous food I've been treating myself to lately; I need to remember to do that, instead of inhaling said food immediately.
Maybe it's because work has been so incredibly unappealing lately that I need to put amazing flavors in my mouth-hole (could I have constructed that sentence a little better? Yes. But it's Friday, so I'm throwing intelligence to the wind).

Anyway, last week was Seattle Restaurant Week, and so Danielle and Leslie and I went to Staple & Fancy Mercantile. I would describe it as rustic coastal Italian. I included the "coastal" part because they basically kept shoving plates of seafood onto our table.... grilled sardines, anchovy-topped soft boiled eggs, fried oysters, tuna tartines...
Now I'm going t0 tell you about a new addiction: Sushi. Something's wrong with me. I can't get enough of it. And I've just begun to eat the actual raw stuff. I'm so in love with it. Moshi Moshi Sushi has amazingly fancy rolls. And that's where I went two days ago with Alex and Stacey. Also got fried octopus :)
Last night was totally unplanned: I went to Delancey. Finally! It's been voted the best pizza in Seattle. Which is kind of a big deal. And it's located on one of my favorite streets in Seattle (NW 70th, between 15th and 14th). I met Lindsey and Stacey there, and was surprised to see that the eatery was much less pretentious that I was expecting it to be. Their pizzas, for their great quality, are not as pricey as I expected them to be. The menu is small and manageable. We got margherita (my favorite), sausage with hot peppers, and cremini pizzas. And a grilled radicchio salad which was AMAZEBALLS.
But I don't want to say too much because I'm trying to utilize my restaurant blog, Pleasure & Necessity, which I haven't been keeping up very well. I'm trying! I'm going to get some contributors/guest posters to help me out. So head's up for that!
