Chanel Fall 2014 Couture

Relishing in the Baroque, the tweed, the bedazzled, the feathered, the cotton candy confections of Karl Lagerfeld. And especially love model Ashleigh Good, who is seven months pregnant and looking like a regal angel.

Christian Dior Couture 2013

What clever remark can I make about this collection? What interesting thing can I compare it to? It might be a stretch to say the looks reminded me of the flowers in Alice in Wonderland (who all turned out to be kinda bitchy). Side note: Each of the models' lips are encrusted with crystals. That's Pat McGrath's doing.

Chanel Couture 2013

Birds of a feather, flock together is what I almost titled this post. Get it, because the looks above kind of remind me of birds, specifically this bird and that bird. I love it. The tulle, the lace, the feathers. Thanks, Karl!

Valentino Spring 2013 Couture

Valentino really has become a constant favorite of mine, solely for the romantic and feminine nature of their clothing. These are pieces I'd want to wear if I were playing dress-up like I did at age six. I mean, seriously, I want to play dress-up NOW in couture, wouldn't that be fun?! But there's is not average fairytale princess stuff. It's subdued, slightly eery, even a bit witchy.

Valentino Fall 2011 Couture Collection
