Welcome, Dad!

My dad is coming into town for the weekend and I am very excited to spend some time with him! Tonight we're going to a Mariners vs. Angels baseball game, and we're also planning on hiking and consuming lots of good seafood. No dolphins though (yes, that is my dad, just surfing. with dolphins. NBD)

Father's Day

My dad is the hardest person to shop for because he always says that he doesn't need anything, to which I reply with a generous eye roll. But I think he might like the above items, especially the surf shirt, poster, and book (Yep, my dad is a bodacious surfer, at age 51!).

Left to right:
Cotton handkerchiefs, Toast, $15
Surfing Photographs From the 70s Taken by Jeff Divine, $40
Turquoise money clip, Smith + Butler, $90
Bodhi t-shirt, Thalia Surf Shop, $33
Thomas Paul camera case, Paper Trail, $25
Happy Father's Day card, Terrain, $5
Watson horn magnifier, Jayson Home & Garden, $42
Ron Stoner poster, Mollusk Surf Shop, $15
Stanley flask, Brook Farm General Store, $20

Brett & Brad: Besties

My dad just sent me this picture and I love it!!! It was Brad's (on the right) 55th birthday and they had a BBQ at the beach. You can tell they had a few beers between them. They are cute old guys, but they are still youngsters at heart. Believe you me. It makes me miss home.

My Dad is BOMB

My father is going to be in a surf contest on Halloween and he reconstructed one of his wetsuits into the above. He made everything himself, from thrift store finds, and even sewed that "S" on himself, which he cut out from boys pajamas. Apparently he's also going to dye a pair of underwear red... This is one of the many reasons why I'm obsessed with my dad.
