The Thing About Jeans Is...

...they are really hard to shop for. Just below swim suits on the list of painful items to shop for, I would say. So I don't feel toooo bad spending a little more on a pair that really work. Especially when they make you look bangin. See: above. Paige stretch denim leggings. Perfect length (I have short legs), fit like a glove, nice fit around the ankle, not too low rise (butt cracks are never cute). Boyfriend-approved. (Except I will never wear them with stripper heels).

Magnolia and Rosewood

When I took a whiff of this baby at my favorite boutique Lucca, I was like, transported to a rom-com flower shop owned by Kate Hudson wearing sexy-yet-casual jeans and a t-shirt and she barely makes ends-meet, but she just loves her work, and she dreams about finding the perfect guy ... all that to say, it smells soooo good. SO I bought it. If you're not a floral-y person, there are lots of other scents that Sydney Hale Co. makes. Once autumn comes along, I will definitely be purchasing the Tobacco and Sandalwood -- so warm and manly :)

I Own This

Confession: Over the weekend, Josh and I did a SOUTHCENTER SATURDAY (Southcenter is a huge-ass mall outside of Seattle). It was pretty fun... We ate at the Rainforest Cafe -- hilarious theme restaurant with forgettable food -- , tried out a hurricane simulator, and saw a movie (I don't wanna talk about it, I'm too traumatized).

And because I'm some sort of Harajuku girl at heart, I went into the Sanrio store and bought the above tupperware. I can't help but love Hello Kitty, mkay?!

Brooklyn Without Limits

Remember that episode of "30 Rock" where Liz Lemon finds the perfect pair of jeans? And then she returns them because of moral standards and is seen wearing a pair of shorteralls ("lesbian Mario Brothers!")? Well, bla bla bla, connecting concept, and I'm going to try to buy new jeans today!

If you're a woman--any woman--you know that finding the "right" pair of jeans sucks. I mean, has anyone truly found the right pair of jeans for themselves? Because I sure haven't. I used to buy most of my jeans from the GAP, but recently I realized they're assholes. Because every pair of GAP jeans I've owned rip in the inner thigh area. So, I'm like, on the bus, and it feels a little breezy down in the inner thigh area all the sudden, and I look down, and there's my inner thigh fat, poking through a big hole in my stupid GAP jeans. It's revolting.

So I'm trying out Madewell (top row above) and J. Crew (bottom row above) today for jeans. I'd love a pair of high rise skinnies. A girl can dream.

Where have you found your favorite pair of jeans?

I really like reusable bags. I collect them. And they're good for the environment.

Forever 25

Bad news: The new Forever 21 is open downtown. Three stories of cheaply made, but nonetheless trendy clothing. I got sucked in to this Bermuda Triangle of retail last Friday and spent a good amount of money on a few things:

The dress totally reminded me of Jil Sander's 2011 spring collection; the elephant necklace is reminiscent of Eat Pray Love; I'm currently sporting the dark blue nail polish and loving it; and the harem pants, oh for the love of Pete. They are the most comfortable things ever (I don't wear them that scrunched up though), and I will probably live in them all summer.
