Good morning!

It's currently raining in Seattle. I kind of want to shoot the city in the kneecap. It's summer, you fool!

Nan Lawson's I heart California illustration stirs up feelings of Golden State homesickness inside me.

I would like to frame her Best Friends illustration, because that's pretty much what every night is like for me and Dotty. SNUGGLE MUFFINS!!!!

Good old Lizzy and Darcy, AKA, every well-read girl's favorite couple. Forget Brangelina. It's all about "Fitzlizabeth." If only they could grace the cover, of US Weekly... More like Lake District Fortnightly. OMG, I'm hella clever.

In other news, I'm not seeing HP 7 p.II at midnight tonight. Kinda sad about that. If anyone wants to see it with me in the next week, let me know. Otherwise I'll go by myself and cry into my container of popcorn. To which, you should react like this.

Then I remember that I own a sturdy pair of rain boots, and all at once I feel a little better.

Funny Weather We're Having

I just don't know what's going on with the weather.
Sunny... cloudy?
Rainy... clear?
Umbrella... sunglasses?


I like this little boy's face.
I find myself gazing broodily out of windows a lot these days.
Also, I want a baby elephant.


And feeling a little dejected.
Maybe I'm just tired.
Or maybe I'm just thinking about certain things too much.
Wouldn't it be odd if we still wore gloves all the time?


The children are looking down at what I'm typing.
I started writing a fairytale today.
We'll see where it goes...


I found out the other day that some people I don't even know are praying for me?
It made me cry.
To know that people who have never met me care for me that much is love.
It is LOVE.


Joe and I recently talked about our favorite sentimental songs.
Mine: "Moon River" from Breakfast at Tiffany's.
His: "Count Your Blessings" from White Christmas.


Today is only Monday.
Today has been sleepy.
Today will be over soon.

Bad news bears... No more snow in the forecast for Thursday, December 11th.

According to weather.com, there is a sixty percent chance of snow showers on Thursday, December 11.

Dear Jesus,

Please won't you tell God the Father to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow? Especially on Thursday, December 11, as that is Stacey's birthday, and there is nothing in the world that Stacey loves more than snow... Well, possibly Michael Phelps... And you, of course. So it would just be the greatest birthday gift of all, and I could tell her that I got "snow" for her because I personally asked you for it. Love you! You're the best!
