Homebody

I'm so excited for my Friday night! Guess what I'm doing? Absolutely nothing! Well, nothing social, that is. I'm planning on doing laundry, watching Mad Men, and going to bed early. Sometimes I just need a little down-time, okay? Saturday will be more exciting, I promise: I have a date. YUP. That's all I'll say for now.

Give me liberty!

Did you know that Target is releasing a line by Liberty of London later this week?

I'm so delighted! Their prints are first-class.

Gracias, Trader Jose's!

...image from realsimple.com...

I feel it to be my tequila-loving duty to tell you all that the Queen Anne Trader Joe's is selling margarita mix for $1.99.

When I saw it, I literally yelled to Stacey, who was perusing the frozen food aisle, "Look what I found!"

It was like discovering a Holy Grail I didn't even know existed.

I just really like margaritas. Heehee.

Look How Cute I Am!

Just kidding.
This is my spanking-new swimming pass.
Every Tuesday and Thursday you can find me jogging across the shallow end of the pool at water aerobics. Yup.

Guess What I Just Did

Water Aerobics!

At the neighborhood pool.
And it was awesome.
90s music, old ladies, and highly chlorinated water.
Three of my new favorite things.

Snow Watch 2008

Bad news bears... No more snow in the forecast for Thursday, December 11th.

Good news! Saturday the 13th, expect snow showers! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

New Blog Feature

If you would be so kind as to notice to your right a new feature on my blog, just for the holiday season...

Every day I'll be sharing something festive to create, enjoy, do, watch, listen to... There are so many fun things encapsulated within Christmas time, and I just want everyone to enjoy it to the fullest.

Is anyone else out there as excited about the Season as I am?!

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Tonight is the Night

I have to admit that since finishing the Twilight series this summer, some of the magic and excitement I initially had for the story has dwindled. It might have something to do with the fact that EVERYONE has read or is reading the series now.

When I first discovered Twilight it was such a fun, secret little indulgence. Then I started spreading the word to my friends and even did a post on it. I don't mean to be snooty, but Twilight seems less special and less magical, and I feel like I should have just hoarded it all to myself.

No, that would not have been right. I'm just not ecstatically excited about seeing the midnight showing of the Twilight film tonight. I should be. And I'm trying to psyche myself up by watching clips and trailers online. And I'm thinking about making a tee shirt that says something like, "Mrs. Edward Cullen" to wear tonight so I can fit in with all the fanatics.

I hope I'll enjoy myself tonight. But just for the record, I was the one who introduced ALL OF YOU to Twilight. So be sure to thank me later.

PS: Robert Pattinson SINGS. WTF? He has two tracks on the Twilight soundtrack! What a babe...
See, I'm getting psyched!

Right Now

  • I am excited for tomorrow... The first day of school for the kids at Boys & Girls Club, and my first day as a teacher for the Birdies (K & 1st grade)
  • I need to get outside and soak up sunshine before it disappears with the onslaught of autumn. Autumn is the springtime of melancholy.
  • I feel tugged in two directions. One: Excitement for new developments. Two: Freaked out that there is just too much "new" that I can't handle. The life of a hermit sounds appealing.
  • I wish my best friends weren't so far away... Heidi, Britta, Moorea, Brittany, Tita, I miss you guys.

*Thanks to Krysta for this blog idea*
