One of my favorite scenes.
The thing about Bright Star is that you know going into it that it's going to end badly. But I wasn't sad throughout the film. Because Jane Campion made the love of John Keats and Fanny Brawne so bold and present. I was happy that they had that time together. Bright Star is subtly romantic; maybe it's the realistic quality to their relationship. It feels as if it could have been a present-day love.
