Brooklyn Without Limits

Remember that episode of "30 Rock" where Liz Lemon finds the perfect pair of jeans? And then she returns them because of moral standards and is seen wearing a pair of shorteralls ("lesbian Mario Brothers!")? Well, bla bla bla, connecting concept, and I'm going to try to buy new jeans today!

If you're a woman--any woman--you know that finding the "right" pair of jeans sucks. I mean, has anyone truly found the right pair of jeans for themselves? Because I sure haven't. I used to buy most of my jeans from the GAP, but recently I realized they're assholes. Because every pair of GAP jeans I've owned rip in the inner thigh area. So, I'm like, on the bus, and it feels a little breezy down in the inner thigh area all the sudden, and I look down, and there's my inner thigh fat, poking through a big hole in my stupid GAP jeans. It's revolting.

So I'm trying out Madewell (top row above) and J. Crew (bottom row above) today for jeans. I'd love a pair of high rise skinnies. A girl can dream.

Where have you found your favorite pair of jeans?

Topshop for skinnies. And I also get mine from a british high street chain called River Island. I have no ass but longish legs so it's always hard to find a perfect fit. Good luck!

I wish I had longish legs.
I buy my jeans at "Forever 41".

Dang it, I wish we had a TopShop in Seattle.

I wish I had longer legs too, Mom. Like mother, like daughter.

Ooh, Land's End? I'm intrigued!

Allie, what brand are your purple jeans? I love them! I saw purple Citizens at Nordstrom. Citizens are on my list. My favorites are Genetic Denim, JBrand, Habitual, Current/Elliott (even though their denim is thin), and Taylor's line for Kasil. Also, H&M's high-waisted jeans are pretty fabulous. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect pair but Genetic comes pretty close. Nordstrom occasionally carries them. So does the Rack. And Gilt!
