Cookie Monster

First fact: I am very bad at baking. Second fact: Josh is not. He's actually very gifted at it.

He made these lemon crinkle cookies (from the LDS Living site ... ain't no thang!) and they are SO GOOD. They rival the Girl Scout lemon cookies.

Try 'em out!

This is kind of horrible

But since Dotty is at home all day, it would be great if I could employ her to make Christmas cookies for me.

A girl can dream, can't she?

The Best Cookies in the World

Have you ever heard of macarons?
They are a special kind of French cookie, and they always look like the above, but they come in different flavors like chocolate, pistachio, caramel (my personal favorite), and raspberry.
Imagine biting into something delicate, with a crisp outside and a soft middle. C'est si bon!
The first time I ever had a macaron was in Paris at a place called Ladurée, a very famous and posh patisserie. My French professor, Madame Beauclair, bought a lovely pastel colored box filled with these treats for all of us students.

Sweet and delicate things make me happy.

Peace Out!

Hope everyone out there has a restful and joyful weekend!

As for me, I am...

-Hitting the town tonight with my favorite peoples (Heidi, Stacey, Jarrett, Cory, JOE)... call moi if you want to join in!

-Having a small group reunion

-Eating a pre-Thanksgiving feast with the Boy

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

...bake a batch of white chocolate macademia nut cookies?

...see Twilight again and again and again?

...become one with Mother Nature?

I'll leave you with a few inspiring things...

FIRST: The Selby, for sneak peeks into cool people's cool homes

SECOND: Listen to A Leaf, my friend Patrick's band... SO GOOD

THIRD: Nana's Soup House in Fremont. Go. It's delicious. And cheap.
